1971 GMC 1500

OVERVIEW

This frame-off-restored 1971 GMC 1500 is powered by a new 454ci V8 engine backed by a rebuilt 700R4 four-speed transmission. Features include Vintage Air climate controls, power front disc brakes, a Kenwood AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo, power steering, a bed liner, Dakota Digital gauges, and CPP (Classic Performance Products) lowering springs. Refinished in matte metallic silver over a black vinyl interior, this GMC pickup is available now and comes with a clear Georgia title in the seller's name.

EXTERIOR - FEATURES

The exterior was refinished in matte metallic silver during a frame-off restoration carried out under previous ownership in 2020. Features include a chrome front bumper, a newer grille, LED headlights, tinted side and rear windows, vent visors, black and stainless side trim, a black bed liner, and a rear step bumper with a trailer hitch.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 20-inch chrome Riddler wheels is wrapped in 275/40/20 front and 295/40/20 rear Nexen Roadian HP tires.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The pair of highback buckets seats are covered in black vinyl. Features include a black center console with cup holders, black vinyl door panels with manual windows, black carpet with black rubber floor mats, power steering and brakes, a column-mounted automatic shifter, a Kenwood AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo, Vintage Air climate controls, and a three-spoke Grant steering wheel.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

A new set of white-faced analog Dakota Digital gauges with blue backlighting includes a 160-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer with an integrated digital clock, an analog clock, and gauges for the fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The digital odometer reads 4,510 miles but the true mileage on this truck is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a new 454ci V8 engine backed by a rebuilt 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Features include chrome valve covers, an aftermarket A/C compressor, a new aluminum radiator, an aluminum intake, a chrome air cleaner, and headers.

UNDERCARRIAGE

During the frame-off restoration, all suspension parts, the frame rails, and the solid rear axle with Positraction were refinished in matte black. Features include an independent front suspension, a solid rear axle with a chrome differential cover, and CPP lowering springs. Braking is provided by CPP power front discs and rear drums.
