OVERVIEW
This 1949 Chevrolet 3600 five-window pickup has been with the seller since 1975 and received a frame-off restoration under their ownership. It is powered by a rebuilt 216ci inline-six paired with a three-speed manual transmission and features whitewall tires, a newer generator, and leather upholstery. Refinished in Forest Green over a brown leather interior, this Chevrolet truck is now offered with restoration documentation, an owner’s manual, and a clear Ohio title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This rust-free 3600 from Chevrolet’s Advance Design era was given a frame-off restoration and fresh Forest Green paint in 2003 under current ownership. Exterior features include chrome brightwork, a split windshield, electric windshield wipers, a driver-side mirror, a cargo floor with newer wood planks and stainless steel hardware, and an embossed tailgate.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Color-matched 16-inch steel wheels with Chevrolet-branded hubcaps are wrapped in Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewall tires that were installed in 2011.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior of the cab is fitted with a brown leather bench seat with color-matched upholstery on the door cards. The dash is accented with bright trim. Black rubber material covers the floor.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes an 80-mph speedometer, a new fuel gauge, and readouts for the coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 64K miles, which the seller states is an accurate figure.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 216ci inline-six was rebuilt within the last 200 miles and received a replacement generator this year. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The brakes, bearings, wheel seals, muffler, and exhaust pipe were replaced in 2002. Additional photos showing the underside are available in the carousel to the right.
