OVERVIEW
This 1969 Land Rover 88 Series IIA Santana 4X4 underwent a refurbishment complete with diamond-stitched seating, a custom center console, and more. Power is provided by a 2.25-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Finished in metallic gray over a black leather interior with red contrast stitching, this Series IIA is now offered with a clear Mississippi title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This metallic gray Series IIA two-door sport utility vehicle was imported from Colombia into the U.S. in the summer of 2022. It is the product of an arrangement between Rover and the Spanish company Santana Motor, S.A., which built licensed versions of Land Rovers and, eventually, distinct variations of Land Rover models. It has been outfitted with off-road equipment including auxiliary lighting, a snorkel air intake, a roof rack, tubular side steps, black fender flares, a rear-mounted swing-away spare tire carrier, rear mud flaps, and a tow receiver.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Color-matched steel wheels are wrapped in XBRI Brutus T/A tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The refurbished interior has black leather bucket seats up front and inboard-facing rear jump seats with diamond-stitched inserts, red stitching, and red Land Rover logos on the steering wheel and seats. The cargo area has aluminum flooring. Additional amenities include three-point safety belts up front and a pair of rubber floor mats.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 120-km/h speedometer and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature. The seller states there are 190K kilometers (118K miles) on the odometer and believes that figure is accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The carbureted 2.25-liter inline-four sends torque to all four wheels via a floor-shifted four-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case.
