OVERVIEW
This 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 is an unmodified performance coupe that has been driven 3K miles since new and is powered by a 302ci Road Runner V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission. It was sold new by Battlefield Ford in Charlottesville, Virginia, and has been garage-kept in that state its entire life. Equipment includes Recaro seats, Brembo brakes, an adjustable suspension, and a limited-slip rear differential. Finished in Race Red with white accents over a Charcoal Black fabric interior, this fifth-generation Mustang is now offered by the selling dealer with a car cover, owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear Virginia title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This Mustang Boss 302 has been garage-kept long-term and retains its original exterior finish of Race Red with complementary white accents on the sides, hood, roof, and decklid. The Boss-specific exterior treatment includes blanked-out fog lamp housings, a chin spoiler, a black decklid spoiler, and a quad exhaust system with two outlets that end before the rear wheels and two exposed outlets.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Black 19-inch aluminum wheels with polished lips are wrapped in staggered-width Pirelli tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The Charcoal Black cockpit is equipped with Recaro bucket seats up front and a pair of seats in the rear, matched to the door panels, console, dash, and carpeting. Features include Boss 302 logo embroidery, floor mats, a black shift knob, “Powered by Ford” door scuff plates, air conditioning, an AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system, cruise control, and power conveniences.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Vehicle information is delivered by a 180-mph speedometer, a 9K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer reads 3K miles, which is in line with the mileage shown on the CARFAX report.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 302ci Road Runner V8 was factory-engineered with CNC ported cylinder heads and rated at 444 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a console-shifted six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip rear differential with 3.73:1 gearing.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The suspension is five-way adjustable and comes with a revised sway bar compared to the 2012 Mustang GT. Steering is electric power-assisted; stopping power comes from anti-lock disc brakes with Brembo front calipers. Additional photos showing the underside are available in the carousel to the right.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The CARFAX report shows a vehicle history free of accidents and damage. The car passed a Virginia safety inspection in August of 2019. The sale includes a car cover, owner’s manuals, and a window sticker showing a total MSRP of $43,575. The selling dealer has provided a video with an exterior walkaround and a driving demonstration below.
