OVERVIEW
This reportedly one-owner 1978 Chevrolet Corvette was put through a body-on restoration in 2003 and is powered by a 406ci small-block V8 backed by an automatic transmission. Features include power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, a tilt and telescoping steering column, power windows, and an AM/FM/CD stereo. Refinished in metallic mahogany over a custom mahogany leather interior, this C3 Corvette is available now and comes from the selling dealer with a build sheet and a clear title.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
As part of the restoration process completed in 2003, the exterior was refinished in custom metallic mahogany. It features color-keyed bumpers, pop-up headlights, a forward-tilting hood, color-keyed removable T-tops, color-keyed mirror caps, a manual remote driver-side mirror, a power antenna, and quad taillights with integrated reverse lights.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of aftermarket slotted aluminum wheels is wrapped in Goodyear Eagle GTII tires.
INTERIOR - FEATURES
The bucket seats are upholstered in mahogany leather. Features include mahogany trim, door panels, and a center console with an automatic transmission shifter. Additional features include power steering, power brakes, power windows, an aftermarket pair of cup holders, a mahogany center armrest pad, mahogany carpeting, woodgrain accents, an aftermarket AM/FM/CD stereo with rear speakers, a mahogany dashboard, air conditioning, and a tilt and telescoping steering column.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, 7K-rpm tachometer, clock, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The odometer reads 79,727 miles but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown. According to the selling dealer, the car has only accrued approximately 5K miles since the restoration process was completed.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 406ci small-block V8 backed by an automatic transmission. The reported output is more than 400 horsepower. Underhood features include HEI ignition, chrome valve covers, an Edelbrock aluminum intake, a Quadrajet carburetor, a high-volume oil pump, and a chrome air cleaner lid.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Corvette was factory-equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive axle. A full-length dual-exhaust system exits at the rear. Braking is provided by power discs.

Has it ever had any water/flood damage (e.g., from hurricanes or tropical storms)? 3. Is this the original 350 CI engine block that has been bored/stroked, or a whole new engine? this is a one owner vehicle--I bought from original owner---he had the original motor bored and stroked --all the work he had done at considerable expense is posted in the pictures in this ad-----the factory didn't offer this that is why he went to the expense of having it done--he drove it for 25 years with the under powered factory L82 motor which only produces 225 hp---- The upgrade he did to his original motor now produces 406-- he took pride in his car and all the improvements he accomplished and took pleasure in entering it to many car shows around the state . Very few 78 Corvettes in the country can be held up to this car---it is a non smoking car----as far as the Hurricane --we are in Palm Beach --there was no damage---a car fax doesn't do much for a 44 year old car---but you can check--I cant see any issues--I've driven car for several hundred mile no problems
