OVERVIEW
This 1997 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 sport coupe has been driven 35K miles since new and was outfitted when new with SS-trim equipment including a composite hood, a Hurst shifter, Bilstein suspension components, and an oil cooler. Power is supplied by a 5.7-liter V8 mated to a six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential. Finished in black over a charcoal leather interior, this fourth-generation Camaro is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean CARFAX report and a clear Pennsylvania title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This Camaro Z28 coupe is coated in black and comes with removable T-tops. The original selling dealer installed over $7,400 in SS-themed alterations such as a lightweight composite hood with cold-air induction, a rear spoiler, and other upgrades as shown in the documentation in the gallery to the right. Exterior features include fog lamps, a rear decklid spoiler, and a dual-outlet performance exhaust system.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Silver Corvette ZR-1-style 17-inch cast aluminum wheels with SS center caps are wrapped in tires with black sidewall lettering.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cockpit is fitted with charcoal leather bucket front and dual rear seats, matched to the door panels, dash, console, and carpeting. Amenities include air conditioning, a tilt-adjustable steering column, an AM/FM/CD audio system, a Hurst shifter, power windows, and a Camaro SS dash plaque.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 155-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The digital odometer reads 35K miles, which is supported by the CARFAX report.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The second-generation LT1 5.7-liter V8 is equipped with an oil cooler. Service and an inspection were performed in May of 2022. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Stopping power comes from anti-lock disc brakes. Handling hardware includes a front anti-sway bar and a Bilstein sport suspension package.
