OVERVIEW

This all-steel 1927 Ford Roadster is powered by a 215ci Buick Nailhead V8 engine backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Features include a Chassis Engineering Inc. dropped front axle, front disc brakes, a Jaguar-sourced independent rear suspension with disc brakes, a custom-built boxed tube frame, and Triumph TR2 bucket seats. Finished in PPG Green Suede over a tan vinyl interior, this rust-free Ford Roadster is available now and comes with a copy of the Street Rodder magazine in which it was featured, documentation, a build sheet, build photos, and a clear Ohio title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The all-steel body and fenders are finished in custom PPG Green Suede. Features include a custom chrome dropped headlight bar, chrome headlight buckets, a chrome radiator shell, a three-piece steel hood with custom louvers, a chrome roadster windshield frame with tilt-out glass, dual side mirrors, custom-painted door lettering, color-matched steel running boards, a chrome roll bar, and dual taillights.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 15-inch front and 17-inch rear Wheel Vintiques solid steel wheels with Ford dog dish center caps is wrapped in Michelin front and Goodyear rear tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

Interior features include tan vinyl Triumph TR2 bucket seats, tan rear trim and door panels, tan carpeting, a floor-mounted automatic shifter, a color-matched green steel dashboard, a Flaming River steering column topped with a four-spoke Lobeck steering wheel, and an aftermarket turn signal assembly.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

The Classic Instruments readouts include a 140-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The six-digit analog odometer reads 1,700 miles but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 215ci Buick Nailhead V8 engine backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Underhood features include an aluminum Offenhauser intake with dual two-barrel Rochester carburetors, chrome air cleaners, finned aluminum valve covers, tube exhaust headers, and a recessed firewall.

UNDERCARRIAGE

The original chassis has been replaced with a custom boxed tube frame and features a Chassis Engineering Inc. two-inch dropped front axle with a Durant Enterprises monoleaf front spring, a UniSteer steering box, and a Jaguar XKE-sourced independent rear suspension with coil-over shocks. Braking is provided by Chassis Engineering Inc. front and Jaguar rear manual discs. The custom-made stainless exhaust system's dual outlets exit at the rear.
