OVERVIEW
This restored 1968 Chevrolet Camaro is powered by a 1968 350ci Chevrolet V8 backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Features include manual front disc brakes, power steering, manual windows, and a center console with Rally gauges. Refinished in Tuxedo Black with white stripes over a black vinyl interior, this first-generation Camaro is available now and comes from the selling dealer with a clear Colorado title.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
The restored exterior was originally painted Grotto Blue (paint code D) but has been refinished in Tuxedo Black with white stripes. Features include a front chin spoiler, chrome bumpers, dual side mirrors, wheel well and rocker trim, and a rear spoiler.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of Chevrolet Rally wheels with stainless center caps and trim rings is wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
INTERIOR - FEATURES
The front bucket seats, rear seat, rear trim, and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include black carpeting, a black center console with a four-speed manual shifter, manual windows, power steering, a black steel dashboard with a black pad and woodgrain accents, and an AM radio.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer and a factory 7K-rpm tachometer are located ahead of the driver. A Rally gauge set that includes readouts for the voltage, temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure is located behind the shifter. The odometer reads 62,576 miles, which the selling dealer believes reflects the mileage on the body. The mileage on the transplanted engine is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is supplied by a 1968 350ci Chevrolet V8 and backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Underhood features include finned cast aluminum valve covers, an aluminum intake, a four-barrel carburetor, a black open-element air cleaner, aftermarket cast iron exhaust manifolds, and a Mallory electronic ignition and distributor. The selling dealer notes that a previous owner installed the 1968 350ci V8 (casting number 3932388), which features an HA suffix code, big valve heads, a high-performance cam, and headers.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Camaro was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a 12-bolt rear end. Braking is provided by manual front discs and rear drums.
