Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1949 Ford F1 pickup has received restomod treatment inclusive of air conditioning, a tilt-adjustable steering column, a Sony audio system, and dual exhaust. It is powered by a 305ci V8 paired with an automatic transmission and receives traction from a set of polished aluminum wheels on newer tires. Finished in Light Blue over a matching cloth interior, this F1 is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear Minnesota title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

This F1 pickup was reportedly owned about 15 years by its prior owner. As part of restoration, it received a respray in Light Blue and features chrome brightwork, color-matched running boards, a louvered tailgate, and dual chrome exhaust outlets. The interior of bed is lined with replacement wooden planks and stainless-steel hardware.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

Polished aluminum five-spoke wheels with spinner center caps are wrapped in recent tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The interior of the cab was reupholstered with a light blue cloth bench seat, matched to the door panels, dash, and carpeting. Amenities include air conditioning, tinted windows, a Grant wood-rimmed steering wheel with a tilt-adjustable column, and a Sony AM/FM/CD audio system.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

VDO instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 1,577 miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The 305ci V8 is upgraded with Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, an aluminum intake manifold, and an HEI ignition system. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a column-shifted automatic transmission.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel. Stopping power comes from power-assisted disc brakes up front, and steering is power-assisted as well.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

A $145 dealer fee/tax will be added to the purchase price. The selling dealer will collect additional registration/sales tax from in-state buyers. The selling dealer has provided a video with a walkaround, a start-up, and additional details.

@PW727 – What are automatic bids? ...

From AutoHunter's website: Q: How does bidding work and what is automatic bidding? A: Enter the highest dollar amount you are willing to pay for the vehicle. This will set up automatic bidding, so you can continue to participate in the auction. The automatic bidding process gives you the opportunity to win the auction at the lowest amount possible without going over your maximum. For reserve auctions, if your maximum bid is at or over reserve, your bid will go to the reserve price and you will receive a “Reserve Price Met!” notification. If you place a maximum bid and are immediately out bid, then another bidder’s maximum is higher than yours. You will need to increase your maximum to be the high bidder. The highest bidder’s username will always be above the area showing the current bid. You can also see Bid History for more details of how bidding has progressed through the auction.
