23k-Mile 2009 Honda S2000

This 2009 Honda S2000 roadster is finished in New Formula Red with a black cloth top over a black leather interior and is powered by a 2.2L 4-cylinder paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.  Sold new in Connecticut, this two-owner car was the fourth (VIN 00004) S2000 produced for the 2009 model year, the S2000’s last year of production. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, power convertible top, and Xenon headlamps.  Located in West Palm Beach, Florida, this AP2 chassis S2000 is now offered with a clean CARFAX report on a clean Massachusetts title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in New Formula Red and retains its original paint.  The powered cloth convertible top has a glass rear window with electric defrost, and lighting is provided by Xenon headlamps in the front and LED taillights in the rear.  A third brake light mounted on the decklid doubles as a lip spoiler while the factory exhaust system is fitted with dual polished tips.

Factory 17” five-spoked aluminum wheels are finished in semi-gloss metallic gray and wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza 255/40 tires all around.  The AP2 model S2000 received enhancements to the spring rates and shock absorber damping, as well as refined suspension geometry for the final years of the model. 

The interior is fitted with black leather bucket seats, a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, and black carpeting.  A flip-down faceplate covers the in-dash AM/FM/CD factory head unit, and the center armrest provides storage capability.  A small windscreen between the seats provides aero functionality for top-down driving.  Factory carpeted floormats protect the flooring, and the dead pedal, clutch, brake, and accelerator are made of drilled aluminum. Brushed aluminum door sill plates are equipped on both sides and feature S2000 scripts.

Instrumentation is housed within a digital gauges cluster, including a digital speedometer and a sweeping 9k-rpm tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline.  Readouts are also provided for coolant temperature and fuel level.  The push-start ignition button is mounted to the left of the gauge cluster on the dash, along with remotely-located controls for the audio system.  The digital odometer reads 23k miles, which are actual and verified on the clean CARFAX report.

The 2.2-liter, dual-overhead-cam inline-4 cylinder engine is original to the car and is equipped with Honda’s signature Variable Valve Timing and Electronic-Lift Control (VTEC).  It has been regularly dealer serviced and garage kept since new. The most recent maintenance documented on the CARFAX report was performed in October 2019 at 22k miles. It included an oil change, new battery, and inspection  Power is sent to the rear wheels through a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission with a console-mounted shifter.
