1964 CHEVROLET IMPALA

OVERVIEW

This cosmetically restored 1964 Chevrolet Impala is powered by a rebuilt numbers-matching QB-code 409ci V8 backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Features include dual four-barrel carburetors; manual steering, brakes, and windows; and an AM radio. Finished in black over a black vinyl and multicolor cloth interior, this Impala is available now and comes from the selling dealer with receipts, documentation, invoices, uninstalled Hastings filters, and a clear Iowa title.

EXTERIOR - FEATURES

The exterior of this Impala was painted black in 1991 as part of a cosmetic refurbishment. Features include chrome bumpers, an aluminum grille, full-length bodyside trim, a driver-side mirror delete, a rear-mounted antenna, and rear body and trunk trim.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of black steel 14-inch wheels with dog dish hub caps is wrapped in 8.00-14 BFGoodrich Silvertown four-ply tires.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The front bench seat and matching rear seat are upholstered in black vinyl with black, gray, and white patterned cloth inserts. Features include black vinyl rear trim and door panels; black carpeting; a floor-mounted manual shifter; manual windows, steering, and brakes; a black steel dashboard; and an AM radio.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

A 120-mph speedometer, a clock, a fuel gauge, and warning lights for the coolant temperature, oil pressure, and generator are located ahead of the driver. A factory 7K-rpm tachometer is mounted on the top of the steering column. The odometer reads 30,145 miles, which the selling dealer states is an accurate figure.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a numbers-matching QB-code 409ci V8 that was rebuilt in 1991. A four-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels. Underhood features include dual four-barrel carburetors, an aluminum dual-quad intake, a correct chrome dual-snorkel air cleaner, and a pair of chrome valve covers.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Impala was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. The full-length exhaust system's dual outlets exit at the rear. Braking is provided by manual drums. Additional photos of the undercarriage can be seen in the carousel to the right.
