OVERVIEW
This restored 1965 Chevrolet El Camino is powered by a rebuilt and reportedly numbers-matching 283ci V8 equipped with Holley Sniper fuel injection and a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power brakes, a spray-in bed liner, a digital AM/FM stereo, and a Flowmaster dual exhaust system. Refinished in black with white stripes over a white vinyl interior, this second-generation El Camino is available now and comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
The exterior was recently resprayed in black with white stripes. Features include chrome bumpers, an aluminum grille, rocker trim, a spray-in bed liner, bright bed rail trim, and El Camino emblems.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of silver steel Chevrolet Rally wheels with disc brake center caps and stainless trim rings is wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires.
INTERIOR - FEATURES
The bench seat is upholstered in white vinyl and sits between a newer headliner and newer carpeting. Features include an AM/FM digital stereo, a three-spoke billet aluminum steering wheel, a column-mounted automatic shifter, manual windows, manual steering, and power brakes.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer, clock, fuel gauge, and warning lights for the voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and oil pressure are located ahead of the driver. An aftermarket set of gauges with readouts for the water temperature, oil pressure, and amps is located under the dashboard. The odometer reads 75,400 miles but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a rebuilt and reportedly numbers-matching 283ci V8, which comes connected to Holley Sniper fuel injection and a three-speed automatic transmission. Underhood features include chrome valve covers, an aluminum intake, a chrome air cleaner, and braided hose covers.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This El Camino was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Power drums help bring the car to a stop. A 2.5-inch Flowmaster dual exhaust system exits ahead of the rear axle. Additional photos of the undercarriage can be seen in the carousel to the right.
