This 1957 Chevrolet 3100 is finished in Aztec Bronze over an ivory leather interior and is powered by a 400ci v8 paired with a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. The seller acquired the truck in 2010, and it received a recently-completed comprehensive restoration both cosmetically and mechanically. Equipment includes performance, a 1st generation Camaro front clip, power steering, Edelbrock intake, bucket seats, custom gauges, and a modern audio system. Located in Mesa, Arizona, this 3100 is now offered on a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
The truck is finished in Aztec Bronze and features a big back window. The truck was the recipient of a complete body-off-frame restoration completed in stages, with the exterior finished in 2018. The fuel tank has been relocated to underneath the oak bed, and the bed itself has been restored using stainless-steel bolts and trim. Louvers have been stamped into the hood while polished tips for the exhaust are located before the rear wheels. The seller indicates that the truck has some minor chips on the front, primarily from being driven to shows and road rallies. Both bumpers retain their original chrome plating from 1957 and in good condition, though there is some pitting on the rear bumper.
Chrome 15” Rallye wheels equipped with chrome center caps and trim rings, mounted to BF Goodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires on all four corners. The front-end is equipped with a Chevrolet Camaro front clip with drop spindles and disc brakes.
The interior is fitted with dual bucket seats sourced from a 2010 GMC Yukon, upholstered in ivory Italian leather with bronze stitching and custom headrest embroidery. Tan German weave carpets cover the floor with matching floormats while the metal door panel inserts and dash face are finished in tan to match the seats. The tilt column and steering wheel were sourced from a Corvette, while a modern stereo and alarm have been added. A Vintage Air system was installed for heating and air conditioning, with controls located in the dash center. The restoration of the interior was completed in 2020
Instrumentation is displayed within a V-shaped gauge pod with chromes surround and includes a 120-mph speedometer, along with gauges for fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. A tachometer is from Accu Tach is mounted on the tilt steering column while the five-digit odometer reads 6k miles, which are the miles since completion of the restoration
The 400ci V8 was sourced from a 1972 Chevrolet and resides in a fully detailed engine bay with a chrome air cleaner and finned valve covers. Factory rated at 300 horsepower, performance upgrades including an HEI ignition, ceramic-coated mid-length headers, a mild cam, and an Edelbrock Performer intake with 1906 carb. A 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission with a floor-mounted Lokar shifter transfers power to the 10-bolt rear end equipped with a 3.73 positraction differential. Recent service includes replacement of the fuel filter in November 2020 and an oil change in July 2020.
The truck is equipped with dual exhaust with side exits. Additional photos are available in the gallery.
The sale includes receipts and photo documentation from the restoration.
