1982 Datsun 280ZX 2+2

This 1982 Datsun 280ZX is finished in Burgundy Mist Metallic over a red cloth interior and is powered by a 2.8L 6-cylinder engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.  The vehicle was sold new in Texas and resided there its entire life. Equipment includes air conditioning, power windows, cruise control, and a modern audio system.  Acquired by the seller in 2016, recent maintenance includes new front brake calipers and rotors. Located in Haslet, Texas, this 280ZX is now offered for sale with a clean CARFAX report on a clear Texas title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in its factory shade Burgundy Mist Metallic and has been repainted in 2015 by Fort Worth Nissan before the current owner's acquisition.  The hood features a raised center section flanked by vents and a scoop on the driver's side. Black plastic louvers are equipped over the rear glass, while the single-outlet exhaust is equipped with a polished tip. All trim and brightwork are in good condition, and the CARFAX report shows no reports of accidents or damage.

Factory 14”  aluminum wheels are mounted to 195/70 tires on all four corners.  The braking system is equipped with new front brake calipers, new slotted and cross-drilled rotors, while discs are equipped in the rear.

The interior is fitted bucket seats upholstered in red cloth with matching door panels and carpet. A console is mounted between the seats, finished in red, and houses the shifter for the manual transmission, parking brake lever, storage compartment, and controls for the remotely adjustable side mirrors.  The car is factory-equipped with power options, including air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, and a power antenna.  An aftermarket Pioneer AM/FM/CD head unit is fitted in the dash; however, the original radio is included in the sale.

Instrumentation is framed by a two-spoke steering wheel and includes an 85-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer, along with gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature.  The gauges located in the center of the dash were replaced, including oil pressure, voltage, and a digital clock; the originals are included in the sale.  The six-digit odometer reads 118k miles, which are original to the vehicle.

The fuel-injected L28E 2.8L inline-6 cylinder engine is original to the vehicle and was factory rated at 145 horsepower.  Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission with a console-mounted shifter.  The CARFAX report shows that the vehicle received an oil and filter change at 115k miles in 2018.
