OVERVIEW
This recently repainted 1979 Corvette is powered by a rebuilt 350ci Chevrolet V8 engine backed by a rebuilt M21 close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission. Features include removable T-Top roof panels, tilt and telescopic steering column, power steering, power four-wheel disc brakes, new power window switches and motors, and new interior. This Corvette is finished in black with new red vinyl interior is available now and comes with a clear Pennsylvania title.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
The exterior of this Corvette was been refinished 10 months ago in black. Features include color-keyed bumpers, pop-up headlights, color-keyed sport mirrors, rocker trim, removable T-Top roof panels, and a rear antenna.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of aluminum Corvette wheels are wrapped in 235/60/15 Firestone Firehawk tires.
INTERIOR - FEATURES
The bucket seats were recently upholstered in red with new seat foam installed. Features include new red carpet and door panels, new power window motors and switches, a red center console with a manual transmission shifter, a Jensen cassette AM/FM stereo, air conditioning, a tilt and telescopic steering column with a new sport steering wheel and new horn button.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
A 140 mph speedometer and a 7k rpm tachometer are located in front of the driver. Additional instrumentation includes a clock and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature. The odometer reads 75,424 but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
This 1979 Corvette is powered by a rebuilt 350ci Chevrolet V8 engine and backed by a rebuilt M21 close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission with a new clutch, pressure plate and throw-out bearing. Underhood features include chrome valve covers, aluminum intake, black air cleaner, and an HEI distributor. A new windshield wiper motor and relay, a new battery have been installed.
This Corvette is factory equipped with four-wheel independent suspension with a rear drive axle. Braking is provided by 4-wheel power disc brakes. New shocks, rotors, calipers, pads, hoses and emergency brake cables have been installed using stainless hardware. A new full-length exhaust system with new mufflers and tailpipes exits at the rear. Nice Vette but seems to be sitting way too high. I used to have a 1980 and it sat way lower than this. Maybe it’s the new shocks?
