1962 VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE

OVERVIEW

This 1962 Volkswagen Beetle convertible is upgraded with a new set of 15-inch EMPI wheels, a CD audio system, and chrome exterior trim. It is powered by a 1,200cc flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle and is in good mechanical and cosmetic condition throughout. Finished in red with a tan cloth top over a tan vinyl interior, this Beetle is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear Oregon title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

This Beetle convertible is dressed in red and capped by a tan cloth retractable top with a glass rear window. Exterior features include chrome bumpers and side moldings, a driver sideview mirror, and dual bright exhaust outlets.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of EMPI 911 alloy 15-inch wheels with black pockets are wrapped in newer MRF tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cabin is trimmed with tan vinyl bucket seats up front and a bench in the rear, matched to the door panels and steering wheel. Other interior equipment includes a color-keyed dash, tan carpeting, lap belts, and an AM/FM/CD radio.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation includes a 90-mph speedometer and an inset fuel gauge. A five-digit mechanical odometer tracks accrued mileage, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The rear-mounted 1,200cc flat-four directs torque to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted four-speed manual transaxle.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Stopping power comes from four-wheel drum brakes.
