OVERVIEW
This 1978 Volkswagen Beetle convertible receives torque from a 1,600cc flat-four coupled with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a newer soft top, a Pioneer audio system, and body-color steel wheels with Nexen tires. Finished in blue with an ivory top over a black vinyl interior, this Beetle is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear Oregon title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This Beetle is finished in blue and capped by a newer ivory vinyl retractable top. Features include chrome brightwork, dual sideview mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Body-color steel 15-inch wheels with chrome hubcaps are wrapped in Nexen tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin is fitted with black vinyl bucket seats up front and a bench in the rear, matched to the door panels, dash, and carpeting. Amenities include a clock and a Pioneer AM/FM/CD sound system.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation consists of a central 100-mph speedometer with an inset fuel gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 44K miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The rear-mounted 1,600cc flat-four transitions power to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted four-speed manual transaxle.
