This 1996 Chevrolet Corvette Collector’s Edition convertible is finished in Sebring Silver over a black leather interior. As one of 1,381 produced, this C4 is completely original and unmodified with just under 57k actual miles on the odometer. Power is provided by the original 5.7L LT-1 V8 engine backed by a 4-speed automatic transmission. Features include four-wheel disc brakes, air conditioning, cruise control, power seats & windows, a retractable soft top, and pop-up headlights. Located in Rowlett, Texas, this C4 Collectors Edition is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean CARFAX on a clear Texas title.
The body is finished in its original Sebring Silver, which was available only on the Collectors edition and equipped with a black soft top made of Cambria-cloth. Special "Collector Edition" emblems are found on the hood, front fenders, and gas door, while "CORVETTE" lettering is embossed into the rear bumper. Pop-up headlights are equipped in the front and fog & parking lights integrated into the front bumper. Outback, the car features the trademark four taillights and dual exhaust with rectangular tips.
17” 5-spoke factory wheels are wrapped in Nitto Extreme ZR tires measuring 255/45 on the front and 285/40 on the rear. Braking is handled by discs with Corvette insignia calipers all around.
The interior is fitted with black leather bucket seats with matching black door panels, carpets, and dash. Red “Collector’s Edition” emblems are embroidered into both headrests. Controls for the power-adjustable seats are located in the center console, along with the shifter for the automatic transmission. The car retains the original AM/FM Delco/Bose Gold Series head unit with a 6-speaker stereo. Additional features include keyless entry, power windows, power locks, cruise control, dual airbags, and remote adjustable mirrors.
Behind the factory, leather-wrapped steering wheel sits the instrumentation, including a 6K-rpm tachometer, a digital speedometer, and analog gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, engine temperature, and voltage. The digital odometer reads just under 57K miles, which are actual.
Underhood sits the original LT1 V8 powerplant, which was rated for 300 horsepower and 335 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine is completely stock and retains all of its original components; the most recent service work includes a full inspection and oil change performed in June of 2020. Power is sent to the rear wheels through the original 4-speed 4L60E automatic transmission.
Included are two keys, a keyless entry fob, factory manuals, and a clean CARFAX report.

Not much time left on this very nice C4 Collector's Edition Corvette Convertible. I have enjoyed my time with this car, especially on recent cold clear evenings here in North Texas. I can assist with shipping arrangements, both domestic and international. Thanks to the bidders and good luck!!

The temperature in North Texas has dropped significantly over the last week or so. On Saturday evening I pulled it out, dropped the top and let it warm up. Put some holiday music on, turned up the heat and set it blow on the floor and face. Then got my bride and took her out to look at lights in the neighborhood. Quite cozy and calm. Exited the development at the south side onto a Farm to Market blacktop to stretch its legs. Quite invigorating.

The C4 was launched with much anticipation, in fact 1983 was a gap year, no Corvettes were produced. It was a ground up design with zero carryover from the C3. Yes the interior materials were panned by critics but upon opening the clamshell hood it was obvious this wasn't your grand dad's Corvette. In fact it was purposeful and artistic; laid out with nothing to hide and a great view of the suspension to boot. The Corvette was finally, inarguably, world class.
