OVERVIEW
This 1986 Ford F-250 SuperCab 4x4 pickup was California-owned until 2010 and is equipped with a set of 35-inch Nitto tires, a Dana 60 solid axle swap, a Flaming River steering column, and power windows. Power is supplied by a 460ci V8, which is mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Finished in two-tone light blue and dark blue over a blue cloth and vinyl interior, this seventh-generation F-Series truck is now offered by the selling dealer with service records and receipts, uninstalled air conditioning parts, a CARFAX report, and a clear Virginia title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The light blue and dark blue body is equipped with a chrome brush guard, tow mirrors, side steps, bodyside moldings, and a sliding rear window.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Aluminum 17-inch Mickey Thompson Classic wheels are wrapped in 35-inch Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires that were installed in 2019.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cab is upholstered with blue cloth for the front captain’s chairs along with matching vinyl for the rear bench. Amenities include a center console, a Flaming River steering column, a Flaming River woodgrain steering wheel, floor mats, woodgrain trim, and power windows. The selling dealer notes that the air conditioning is not working and that the dash has a small crack in it.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes an 85-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 39,801 miles but has potentially rolled over, according to the CARFAX report. The true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The big-block 460ci V8 received a new starter in November 2022. Additional maintenance shown on the CARFAX report includes services in October 2020 and March 2020. Power is allocated to all four wheels via a column-shifted three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
UNDERCARRIAGE
A 1979 Ford F-350 one-ton Dana 60 solid axle swap was completed in 2020. Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel to the right.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The CARFAX report shows an accident and fire damage dated March 2014, along with mileage inconsistencies due to the vehicle having a five-digit odometer. The sale includes uninstalled air conditioning parts and service records and receipts. A $359 dealer fee will be added to the final selling price.
