OVERVIEW
This frame-off-restored 1983 Jeep CJ-7 4x4 draws power from a rebuilt 258ci inline six-cylinder mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes a Warn winch, power steering, a four-inch lift, and a Howell fuel injection system. Finished in Black Cherry Pearl over a Nutmeg vinyl interior, this CJ-7 is now offered with service manuals, a full removable top, two bikini tops, restoration and engine rebuild documentation, an accident-free CARFAX report, and a clear Kentucky title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This CJ-7 was previously sold on AutoHunter in September 2022 and has been re-listed by the current owner. It received a frame-off restoration and was recoated in Black Cherry Pearl under prior ownership. Exterior features include auxiliary lights, Warn bumpers, a 9,000-pound Warn winch, a folding windshield, black fender flares, dual mirrors, a removable full soft top, and a spare tire on a swing-away rear carrier.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
American Racing polished aluminum 15-inch wheels with manual-locking front hubs are wrapped in 33" x 12.50" BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A raised-white-letter tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior is fitted with Nutmeg vinyl high-back bucket seats up front and a bench in the rear, matched to the door panels, upper dash, center console, and Rhino Linings flooring material. Features include a padded roll bar, a Kenwood AM/FM/CD audio system with Panasonic marine-grade speakers, a Grant steering wheel, diamond-plate aluminum pedals, and a tilt-adjustable steering column.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes an 85-mph speedometer accompanied by inset readouts for the fuel and coolant temperature gauges. Auxiliary meters are mounted to the dash and show the oil pressure and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 2,565 miles; the most recent CARFAX mileage entry made in March 2023 is 2,580 miles. A mileage inconsistency has been noted in the vehicle’s history.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The rebuilt 258ci inline-six features a Howell fuel injection system and is fed by a newer fuel tank. Equipment includes an Offenhauser intake, a 4.0-liter head, a newer engine block, a K&N air filter, an electric fan, a new alternator belt, and a newer exhaust system. Power is directed to all four wheels via a floor-shifted five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The chassis benefits from a four-inch suspension lift and uses solid front and rear axles. Steering is power-assisted.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The CARFAX report starts in 1996 and shows no prior history of accidents or damage. The sale includes service manuals, a full removable top, two bikini tops, and restoration and engine rebuild documentation.

As I mentioned before folks, I paid $22,500 for this Jeep on this website. Costs $1,500 to have shipped from OK to KY. I have $24,000 invested in it. Beautiful Jeep and it runs great. I am expecting a new car soon. This Jeep is too nice to leave outside, I need the garage space for my new car. Whoever the high bidder is, is going to be getting a very nice Jeep. Keep the bids coming. Thanks!

@CraxyFatherof2 – If you purchased this late last year and selling it now, may I ask why? I remember this Jeep and I bid against you at the time. The previous owner had a video of it running and driving. ...
Yes, I did purchase it. I paid $22,500 for it. It's a beautiful truck and runs excellent. I drove twice. Third time I drove it took it to DMV, which was last week to get tags for it. I have put about 30 miles on it. It's been sitting in my heated and air-conditioned garage this whole time. I just purchased a 1967 Corvette from Connecticut. The only reason I am selling is because I need to room in my garage for the car that is coming. The pictures don't do it justice. The tires and wheels are brand new. It's a great car and fun to drive. Any other questions, please feel free to ask.
