OVERVIEW
This 1983 GMC K1500 Sierra Classic four-wheel-drive pickup was put through a refurbishment process that included a repaint as well as the installation of a lift kit, new Raceline Rockcrusher wheels on BFGoodrich tires, and a new Flowmaster dual-exhaust system. It is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Recent maintenance includes an oil change, fresh fluids, and new brake calipers and shock absorbers. Finished in Lunar Rock with white accents over a two-tone gray vinyl and cloth interior, this GMC truck is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean CARFAX report and a "Not Actual Mileage" Virginia title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This 1983 GMC regular-cab truck was repainted in Lunar Rock and white as part of a documented recent refurbishment process, receiving replacement exterior moldings at the same time and new parts for the grille, marker lights, and taillights. The exterior features beltline moldings, stainless steel mirror caps, and a dual-exhaust system. The cargo area has a spray-in bed liner. The selling dealer has provided photos in the carousel to the right that show the truck before and during restoration.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
New Raceline Rockcrusher wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A raised-white-letter tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The Sierra Classic cabin is fitted with a two-tone gray vinyl and cloth bench seat with coordinating lap belts and refurbished gray door and dash panels. The contrasting new carpeting is black. Amenities include a tilt-adjustable steering column, a USB outlet, and a new AM/FM/CD audio system with Bluetooth connectivity and speakers behind the seat.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Vehicle information is shown via an 85-mph speedometer and factory gauges for the fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. Additional aftermarket gauges for the coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure are mounted under the dash. The odometer has rolled over and shows 78,541 miles, which equates to 178,541 miles. The true mileage on the vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The upgraded 5.7-liter V8 was serviced in August of 2022 with an oil change and new fluids. Power is sent to all four wheels via a column-shifted three-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case.
UNDERCARRIAGE
During the refurbishment process, the truck was equipped with a new steering box, replacement shocks, new brake calipers and lines, and a Flowmaster dual-exhaust system. Braking is power-assisted. Additional photos showing the underside are available in the gallery.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
This truck was previously sold on AutoHunter.com but is being relisted after the buyer backed out of the transaction through no fault of the selling dealer. The CARFAX report shows this pickup was given a branded title for "Not Actual Mileage." There are no accidents or damage on record. A $359 dealer fee will be charged in addition to the sale price.

@Moparhunter – Why is the bed to cab gap on the driver side different from top to bottom? ...
@Moparhunter - the body mount bushing is bad underneath the cab and is easily replaceable. The mount is good and the floor is good, we did not replace it, because we did not notice it until the paint and chrome was already on.
