1969 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE MALIBU

OVERVIEW

This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu restomod received a body-off restoration and draws power from a Vortech-supercharged 454ci big-block V8 mated to a Turbo 400 three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes staggered-diameter Fesler wheels, Wilwood disc brakes, a Magnaflow exhaust system, and AutoMeter gauges. Finished in metallic graphite over a black leather interior, this second-generation Chevelle is now offered with a clear California title in the seller’s name.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The restored exterior was repainted metallic graphite and given a custom treatment that includes color-matched bumpers, PIAA fog lamps in fiberglass bezels, custom taillights, SS badging, and a stainless steel Magnaflow exhaust system with dual center-exit outlets. In addition, the side marker lamps, keyholes, and drip rails were shaved.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

The 19-inch front and 20-inch rear Fesler wheels are wrapped in low-profile radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cabin is equipped with power-adjustable black leather bucket seats from a Lexus up front and a black leather bench in the rear, matched to the door panels, leather dash, suede headliner, wool carpeting, and SS-branded floor mats. Amenities include Dynamat sound-damping material, four-point front seat harnesses, a Momo steering wheel, and push-button start.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

AutoMeter instrumentation includes a speedometer, a 10K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary readouts for other vehicle information. The odometer reads 1,100 miles, although the seller states that the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The carbureted big-block 454ci V8 has been upgraded with a Vortech supercharger with a blow-off valve, MSD ignition, ceramic-coated headers, and an Ultima battery. The restoration also incorporated new fuel lines, new wiring, and a smoothed engine firewall. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted Turbo 400 three-speed automatic transmission.

UNDERCARRIAGE

The frame has been smoothed, coated in a protective material, and painted. The suspension uses tubular A-arms and Speedtech Performance components. Stopping power comes from four-wheel disc brakes with Wilwood calipers, slotted rotors, and replacement lines.
