Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza coupe has been one-family-owned for the last 30 years and receives torque from an air-cooled 2.7-liter flat-six coupled with a Powerglide two-speed automatic transaxle. Equipment includes chrome brightwork, whitewall tires, and bucket seats. Finished in Artesian Turquoise over a black vinyl interior, this second-generation Corvair is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear Minnesota title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

This Corvair Monza hardtop coupe is coated in Artesian Turquoise (K) and was reportedly owned by one family for three decades until just recently. The exterior features include quad headlights, a driver sideview mirror, and chrome brightwork. The selling dealer notes that the paint finish shows some blemishes but shows an overall driver-grade level of gloss and quality.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

Steel 13-inch wheels with polished cover are wrapped in Atlas Cushionaire whitewall tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cabin is optioned with black vinyl (713) fold-forward bucket seats up front and a bench in the rear, matched to the door panels, dash, and carpeting. Features include lap belts, rubber floor mats, and an inoperative push-button radio The photo carousel shows some wear on the driver seatback which has been taped over.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a clock, and a combination gauge showing fuel level along with warning lights for temperature and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 45,991 miles, although the selling dealer notes that true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The rear-mounted air-cooled 2.7-liter flat-six was rated at 164 horsepower and is fed via dual carburetors. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a dash-shifted Powerglide two-speed automatic transaxle.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Minnesota residents are responsible for tax, license, and title procurement fees. Out-of-state buyers will incur a $125 title procurement fee only. The selling dealer has provided a video with an exterior walkaround, an interior tour, a start-up, an engine bay overview, and a brief driving demonstration.
