OVERVIEW
This 1977 Chevrolet Corvette coupe was customized by North Star Automotive Technology in California and was upgraded within the last 200 miles with an LT1 350ci V8 crate engine backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. It comes equipped with power steering, power brakes, power windows and locks, a tilt and telescoping steering column, and removable T-tops. Performance hardware includes an Edelbrock intake manifold, a COMP Cams camshaft, MSD ignition components, and upgraded sway bars. Finished in pearlescent blue over a black vinyl and gray cloth interior, this C3 Corvette is now offered with over $30,000 in build receipts and a clear California title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The reportedly rust-free pearlescent blue exterior features electric retractable headlights, removable T-top roof panels, and a dual exhaust system. The seller notes that there are hairline cracks present in the paint finish. Other imperfections are shown in the gallery to the right.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
American Racing 17-inch five-spoke wheels are wrapped in 245/45 BFGoodrich G-Force T/A tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The two-seat cockpit is fitted with black vinyl and gray cloth buckets, matched to the door panels, dash, center console, and carpeting. Amenities include power steering, power brakes, power windows and locks, a tilt and telescoping steering column, a push-button start system, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, carpeted floor mats, map pockets, and a Pioneer AM/FM/CD radio.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 150-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, a clock, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 26,855 miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The LT1 350ci V8 crate engine has accrued fewer than 200 miles and is equipped with an Edelbrock Performer air-gap intake manifold, a 700-cfm carburetor, a COMP Cams camshaft, a new starter, a new alternator, and MSD ignition components, among various other components that were added during the build process. Output is reportedly over 500 horsepower, per the seller. An oil change was performed in 2022. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The suspension has new components including a composite rear monospring, powder-coated front coil springs, Bilstein gas shock absorbers, upgraded sway bars, and polyurethane bushings.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The sale includes restoration and build receipts totaling over $30,000.
