OVERVIEW
This 1997 Isuzu Trooper Limited 4x4 sport utility vehicle receives power from a 3.2-liter V6 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The engine, transmission, and front suspension were rebuilt within the last 6,000 miles. Equipment includes fog lamps, power-folding mirrors, a power-operated sunroof, and newer front upholstery. Finished in two-tone white and silver over a charcoal gray leather interior, this second-generation Trooper is now offered with spare keys, service records, owner’s booklets, a matching spare wheel, uninstalled spare parts, a CARFAX report, and a clear Oregon title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This Trooper Limited’s two-tone white and silver exterior is reportedly rust-free because the vehicle spent the majority of its life in California. Features include fog lamps, headlight wipers, power-folding mirrors, a power-operated sunroof, mud flaps, 70/30-split barn-style rear doors, and a color-matched spare tire cover.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Mesh-style 16-inch aluminum wheels with Isuzu center caps are wrapped in 245/70 Ohtsu all-season tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior is furnished with charcoal gray leather captain’s chairs up front, a charcoal gray bench in the rear, and matching materials for the door panels, dash, center console, and carpeting. The front seats were reupholstered. Amenities include glossy simulated woodgrain trim, power windows, power mirrors, air conditioning, tinted windows, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, a cargo area cover, all-weather floor mats, and an AM/FM/cassette audio system with replacement speakers.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 125-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the oil pressure, voltage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer reads 189,162 miles, which is in line with the last mileage figure shown on the CARFAX report in October 2021.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 3.2-liter V6 was rated at 190 horsepower when new and has been maintained as shown by the 20 service records on the CARFAX report. The drivetrain was rebuilt within the last 6,000 miles per the seller. Additional recent maintenance includes the replacement of the battery and the heater core. Power is directed to all four wheels via a rebuilt four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and “Torque on Demand” four-wheel drive. The seller notes that the key needs to be jiggled so it can turn in the ignition, there is a power steering leak, and the check engine light comes on occasionally with a code for the catalytic converter. This was traced to an intermittent short in the wire from the sensors. All sensors have been replaced and the catalytic converter system is functioning properly.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The front-end suspension was rebuilt within the last 6,000 miles. The brakes were replaced approximately 2,000 miles ago, per the seller.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The CARFAX report shows an accident on record in summer 2005 with no airbag deployment noted. The sale includes spare keys, owner's booklets, an extra matching wheel, uninstalled spare parts, and service records.

@MAK2023 – I can take some pictures and post but I'm not sure I have enough time to do so before bidding ends. This car has always lived in southern California and recently here on the Oregon coast. I inspected it when it was up on the rack for tires and brakes and there is no rust. ...
Just took a few under carriage shots and will get them online asap.
@Frederal – Do you have photos of the frame. These 90s Isuzus were notorious for frame rot particularly in the rear with some frames actually breaking. ...

Yes, I totally get it! I have had to tell others bidding on mine the same. I would never cut out anyones money and I respect Autohunter and have a listing with them currently. We can work out something no problem and make sure Autohunter makes their money too.
@Classicman – Hi, I am interested. I am in Oregon too. Do you have a number you’re looking for? My Bronco is up for sale right now too… ...
I need to clarify my response to your question. Currently you may only place a bid for my vehicle. If it does not sell within the appropriate timeframe and you are still interested you may set up a time to see it in person.

Thanks for your question. Respecting my agreement with AutoHunter I cannot give you an exact dollar amount. I will say that it is very reasonable and definitely "priced to sell". It has been my daily driver for a number of years. Its maintenance has always been kept up to date. I'm selling it because I purchased a new vehicle, and I don't have enough space in my garage for all my cars. Since you live in Oregon too, we can arrange a time for you to check it out in person. '

Please refrain from asking about reserve price, it is confidential up until the auction has closed. As well we do ask that side deals are not discussed as each vehicle is under contract to AutoHunter once live on auction on our site. Thank you and happy bidding.
