OVERVIEW
This 1967 Morris Mini Cooper S is a right-hand-drive British-built coupe that underwent a mechanical overhaul in 2017 and is powered by a 1,275cc transverse inline-four engine paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes Minilite wheels, chrome brightwork, and pop-out rear windows. Finished in green with a white top over a charcoal vinyl interior, this Mini Cooper is now offered with service records, period documentation, a driver’s handbook, European license plates, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The green exterior features chrome bumpers with overriders, a white roof, pop-out rear quarter glass, dual fuel filler caps, and dual center-exit exhaust finishers.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
This Mini rolls on 10-inch Minilite alloy wheels and blackwall tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The right-hand-drive interior is equipped with gray vinyl low-back bucket seats up front, a bench in the rear, and coordinating materials for the door panels and carpeting. Interior features include a woodgrain shift knob and seat belts. The carpeted cargo area is accessed via a drop-down hatch at the rear of the vehicle.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a centrally-mounted 130-mph speedometer flanked by auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. Additional aftermarket gauges are mounted under the dash. A mechanical odometer tracks accrued mileage.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The transverse-mounted 1,275cc inline-four underwent a recent carburetor rebuild as well as a more complete refurbishment by a British specialty facility in 2017. Work performed at that time included a fuel tank cleaning and the replacement of the water pump, radiator cap, thermostat, accelerator cable, fuel pump, hoses, battery, and wiring for the exterior lighting. Power is transferred to the front wheels via a floor-shifted four-speed manual transaxle.
UNDERCARRIAGE
A rear wheel cylinder was replaced in 2017.
