Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1965 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova is powered by a Tesar Engineering 355ci V8 backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Features include rack-and-pinion steering, disc brakes, traction bars, subframe connectors, and bucket seats. Finished in red over a black vinyl interior, this Nova is available now and comes from the selling dealer on consignment with engine build and dyno paperwork, an uninstalled radio, and a clear Minnesota title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The exterior has been refinished in red within the last year. Features include chrome bumpers, a polished aluminum grille, a driver-side mirror, a rear antenna, Nova emblems, and rear body trim. A walk-around video is available below.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of chrome five-spoke Weld wheels is wrapped in 185/55 Starfire Solarus radial tires in the front and 235/60 Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S radial tires in the rear.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The updated aftermarket front bucket seats, rear seat, trim, and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include a tilt steering column, a floor-mounted automatic shifter, and manual steering, brakes, and windows.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge are mounted ahead of the driver. A 7K-rpm tachometer with a shift light is mounted to the steering column. Aftermarket gauges for the oil pressure and coolant temperature are mounted in the former stereo location. The odometer reads 59,604 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The 355ci V8 was built by Tesar Engineering Racing Engines of Long Lake, Minnesota. It reportedly produces 500 horsepower, which is backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include an aluminum Edelbrock high-rise intake, a Holley carburetor, aluminum heads, an electric water pump, red Moroso valve covers, an aluminum radiator, an electric fan, and a transmission cooler with an electric fan.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Nova is equipped with an independent front suspension with tubular control arms, manual rack-and-pinion steering, a front sway bar, subframe connectors, and a 12-bolt rear end with Positraction and traction bars. Braking is provided by manual front discs and rear drums. A full-length dual exhaust system flows from ceramic-coated long tube headers and exits at the rear.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The selling dealer will include engine build and dyno paperwork and an uninstalled radio with the purchase of the vehicle.

@19Belair55 – Need to see pics of the chassis and undercarriage. Also, how much clearance is there between the rear tires and body metal? ...

Additional photos including under body as well as an additional video link below. There is about an inch from the outside of the rear tires to the quarter panel. Its's tight but there is no rubbing or clearance issues. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/p87mycsi4aivs1p/AAAs-nYCtBs1dcuYWAn4tVxSa?dl=0 https://youtu.be/b0VYX7UtEyw

@Soundguy – I’m for sure not trying to bear a dead horse here but after watching the videos and pictures I can still see this spot near the ridge if the hood. Can you please explain what that spot is? Thank you so much ...

I apologize, there is a small chip on that ridge.

Motor is fresh and was over 500hp on the dyno. We have all the paperwork for the build including the dyno papers.
