This 1973 Mini is finished in British Racing Green with a black canvas top over a tan leather interior and is powered by a 1275cc inline-4 cylinder engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. It is a right-hand-drive car originally sold new in the U.K. car that has been customized with fender flares, re-upholstered leather seats, Alcantara headliner, and U.S.-market gauge cluster. Located in Tempe, Arizona, this MKIII Mini is now offered by the selling dealer on a clean Arizona title.
The car is finished in British Racing Green Metallic and was professionally repainted under prior ownership. The body has extended black plastic fender flares, while factory brightwork is retained and includes chrome bumpers front and rear, along with chrome trim for the headlight rings, door handles, and a billet-style factory grille. The car has an electric Webasto sunroof that retracts over the roof. The rear includes a drop-down tailgate, single-outlet exhaust, and bumper-mounted fog lamp.
Polished aluminum 8-spoke Panasport-style wheels with Mini center caps are mounted to near-new Dunlop tires on all four corners. The braking system consists of power-assisted discs in the front and drums in the rear.
The custom interior is fitted with green carpeting and beige leather bucket seats with diamond stitching and green contrast piping. Custom "Mini" emblems are embroidered into the headrests, and an Alcantara headliner surrounds the opening for the power-operated sunroof. The aftermarket stereo system consists of a Philips AM/FM/cassette head unit with two speakers in the rear deck behind the back seat.
Instrumentation is framed by a black three-spoke steering wheel and is consists of a 110mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. There is also an analog clock mounted within the center dash near an ashtray. The five-digit odometer reads 59k miles; true mileage is unknown.
The 1275cc inline-4 cylinder is free of any major leaks and has no overheating issues. The engine bay has been fully restored, with the inner panels finished to match the exterior and the block painted orange. Power is sent to the front wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission with a floor-mounted shifter.
Additional photos of the underside are available in the gallery.
Documentation and records from the restoration are included in the sale
