OVERVIEW
This refurbished 1987 Chevrolet R10 is powered by a 305ci V8 backed by a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering, power front disc brakes, air conditioning, a spray-in bed liner, a RetroSound AM/FM stereo, and a billet grille. Finished in Bright Red over a newer mahogany vinyl interior, this Chevrolet truck is available now and comes from the selling dealer with the removed original wheels equipped with new all-terrain tires, a spare, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
As part of a refurbishment process performed within the last five years, the exterior was refinished in the reportedly factory color of Bright Red. It features chrome bumpers, a billet grille, newer lenses and trim, black accent stripes, dual folding mirrors, wheel opening moldings, an eight-foot fleetside bed with stainless steel bed rail protectors, a spray-in bed liner, and a hitch receiver. The selling dealer states that the exterior paint has some minor flaws and is in daily driver condition.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 18-inch chrome Vision Wheels is wrapped in 255/55 Cooper Discoverer H/T radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bench seat and door panels are upholstered in newer mahogany and tan vinyl, respectively. Features include power steering, power brakes, a column-mounted automatic shifter, a RetroSound AM/FM stereo, manual windows, and air conditioning.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
An 85-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and warning lights for the brakes, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and battery are located ahead of the driver. The five-digit odometer has rolled over and reads 140,274 miles, which the selling dealer reports to be accurate. The CARFAX report contains a Potential Odometer Rollover entry dated February 2004 and a Mileage Inconsistency notice dated February 2010.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 305ci V8 and backed by a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. The restored engine bay features an orange engine block, intake, heads, and valve covers; a black closed-element air cleaner; cast iron exhaust manifolds; and a body-color firewall.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This pickup was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle with 2.73 gears. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A full-length dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The CARFAX report starts in March 1987 and shows an accident-free history with ownership in Kansas, Nebraska, and California. The selling dealer will include the removed original wheels equipped with new all-terrain tires and a spare as part of the sale.

Hello and welcome to our auction for this custom R10 pickup! And thank you for the early bids! We are excited to hopefully find a new home for this truck! Please feel free to ask any questions and we will happily answer them as soon and as best as possible. It is also worth mentioning that this R10 has been in the same family since the 2nd owner purchased it, it was passed down to his son and subsequently his grandson. It is also the only model year (1987) that GM decided to name the truck ‘R10’ before changing the naming scheme for their trucks as well as a big refresh for 1988. Happy bidding!
