1961 CHEVROLET APACHE

OVERVIEW

This 1961 Chevrolet Apache is powered by a tuned LS 5.3-liter V8 backed by a 4L60-E four-speed automatic transmission. EXTERIOR – FEATURES

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A set of Dakota Digital analog instruments, which includes a 160-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage, is mounted ahead of the driver.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a tuned LS 5.3-liter V8 equipped with an upgraded camshaft and backed by a 4L60-E four-speed automatic transmission. Underhood features include a new aluminum radiator with an electric fan, a fresh-air intake tube, a new wiring harness, and a quick-release battery cable.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Chevrolet truck was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A full-length dual exhaust system exits before the rear bumper. The seller states that the suspension has been lowered and modified with new parts and front and rear sway bars. The original cab-mounted fuel tank has been removed and replaced by a new fuel tank fed by new lines and a frame-mounted electric fuel pump.
