OVERVIEW
This frame-off-restored 1950 Chevrolet Fleetline has been with the seller for nine years and is powered by a rebuilt 283ci V8 paired with a Holley carburetor and a rebuilt 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Features include a customized 1950 Buick front bumper and grille, a shaved and louvered hood, a front disc brake conversion, a powder-coated frame, and an upgraded and lowered suspension. Finished in Matador Red Mica over a new tan vinyl interior, this reportedly rust-free Fleetline is available now and comes with a clear Arizona title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
According to the seller, the exterior design was inspired by the film American Graffiti. During the frame-off restoration, the exterior was media-blasted and etch-primed before the body was repaired and refinished in a Lexus shade of red called Matador Red Mica. Features include a custom narrowed and re-chromed 1950 Buick front bumper with flipped and smoothed bumper bolts, a 1950 Buick grille, a shaved and louvered hood, a split windshield, dual mirrors, new windows and rubber trim, color-matched rear wheel skirts, a shaved trunk emblem, a chrome rear bumper, and custom pinstriping by Alex Hamilton.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of color-matched 15-inch original steel wheels with beauty rings and 1949 Chevrolet hub caps is wrapped in Toyo whitewall radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front split bench seat, rear seat, trim, and door panels are covered in new tan vinyl. Features include a body-color metal dashboard with custom pinstriping by Alex Hamilton, an AM radio, Dynamat sound-damping material, a CON2R Series One Gazelle steering wheel, a Lokar floor-mounted automatic shifter, and seat belts. The seller notes this car is not equipped with air conditioning.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A Classic Instruments round combination gauge, including a 140-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and readouts for the fuel level, temperature, volts, and oil pressure, is mounted ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 1,375 miles, which the seller states are the miles logged since the restoration was completed. The true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a rebuilt 283ci V8 equipped with a Holley 600-cfm carburetor and backed by a rebuilt 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include black valve covers, an aluminum intake, a chrome air cleaner, cast iron ram horn-style exhaust manifolds, and a body-color firewall.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The seller states that the frame has been powder-coated and the driveline has been rebuilt and upgraded with new suspension hardware. This Chevrolet is equipped with an independent front suspension, which includes Fat Man Fabrications lowering dog bones, and a heavy-duty Ford nine-inch rear end with 2.90:1 gears. Braking is provided by upgraded front discs and rear drums.

@Birdman31 – Were there any carb or other changes made to run in Prescott's high altitude?? ...
Yes. Because of the 5200 ft altitude, it's been jetted down a few steps and the accelerator pump discharge nozzles are sized down a bit. I think I may need to reduce the pump shot squirt a little more, but have held off because I realize the buyer may live at a lower altitude. If the buyer needs an adjustment based on Holley recommendation, I can help with that. Keep in mind that final carb tuning depends on individual atmospheric conditions and engine/trans/gearing ratios as well as the weight of the vehicle. The carb is a Quick Fuel 600 cfm which is a Holley. It has a vacuum secondary and is a great street carburetor.

@Birdman31 – When was the paint done?? ...
I think my reply may not have posted the first time. The body work and Lexus Matador Red Mica was applied by ZZ Hot rods, Dinuba CA in 2014. I've moved a few times since and the vehicle was always garaged until I was able to complete the build recently. It has never spent a night outside and has 1375 miles since rebuild.

@Ayers0129 – The seats are they original to the car or from a late model? ...
Thanks for your interest. Yes, the seats are original, 1950 Chevy, both front and back.

@Lawmar – Ok, no a/c. Heat, wipers, gauges work as they should, road trip worthyness? Thanks ...
Thank you for your question. The heater is not installed because the V8 takes up the room for the heat ex-changer. The linkage for the wiper is included but the motor is missing. I planned to buy an upgraded 12 volt electric motor which is an easy upgrade. All gauges work on the Classic Instruments speedo which I custom installed into the original speedometer bucket for a factory look. Speedometer has electric sending unit on the trans and is perfect accurate. Other gauges, tach, oil pressure, coolant temp, voltmeter all work. The car is road-trip worthy and has been freeway driven at 65-70mph over long distance. 1375 miles since complete frame-off rebuild. Includes engine/trans/running gear.
