OVERVIEW
This 1960 GMC Apache big-window pickup is powered by a performance-built 350ci V8 mated to an automatic transmission. Equipment includes aluminum heads, a Comp Cams camshaft, a JVC sound system, custom pinstriping, and wood bed planks with stainless steel hardware. Finished in metallic silver over a two-tone black and gray vinyl interior, this Apache is now offered by the selling dealer with build documentation and receipts, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The metallic silver finish reportedly was applied within the last several years. The floor of the bed is lined with wood planks and stainless steel hardware. Features include quad headlights, a chrome front bumper and grille, dual mirrors, pinstriping, and a dual exhaust system.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Amercian Racing wheels with black spokes and polished lips are wrapped in BFGoodrich radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior of the cab is fitted with a black and gray vinyl bench seat; the same color scheme is carried through to the door panels. Amenities include lap belts, a JVC AM/FM/CD audio system, tinted windows, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
AutoMeter instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a column-mounted 8K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit analog odometer shows 10,786 miles, but the true mileage on this truck is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 350ci V8 has reportedly been dyno-tested and proven capable of producing 440+ horsepower. Upgrades include aluminum heads, a Comp Cams camshaft, a Cloyes roller chain set, and roller-tip rockers. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted automatic transmission.
