OVERVIEW
This 1969 MG MGC GT hatchback has been with the seller for six years and is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include front disc brakes, bucket seats, a banjo steering wheel, and pop-out quarter windows. Finished in blue over a black vinyl interior, this MGC GT is available now and comes with a clear Maryland title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The Pininfarina-designed exterior is finished in blue and features chrome bumpers, a chrome grille, side trim, pop-out quarter windows, and a rear hatch. According to the seller, the front fender mirror has been removed and the hole has been professionally repaired and painted; an additional side mirror has been added.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of newer chrome wire wheels is wrapped in radial tires. The seller states that the tires were new in 2019.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bucket seats and the rear seat are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include manual windows and steering; a floor-mounted automatic transmission shifter; and a banjo steering wheel.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 140-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. With 500 miles added during current ownership, the odometer reads 20,688 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 2.9-liter inline-six and backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. The seller states that minor rust is present on the firewall under the brake booster and that this car has leaks that are typical of British cars.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This MG was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. A full-length single exhaust system exits at the rear. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums.
@gpc566 – and the brakes and brake boosters ? ...
Sorry, the brakes and boosters are fine
and the brakes and brake boosters ?
No electrical issues, all lights work, all British cars leak some. You can replace all the gaskets and seals and you’ll still have a drop on the floor tomorrow.
I did not get an answer on these points… Any oil leaks or electrical issues. Do all the lights work any issues with the brakes? Thank you J ...

@C.Taylor – Can you add some underside pics to the listing? And is the re-painted in it's original color? Can you also supply compression readings from the motor? ...
Original color was mineral blue, I think that’s the same color the car is today. Compression 1=163, 2=163, 3=158, 4=155,5=160, 6=167.

The 1967-69 MGC was available with an automatic transmission. They used a Borg Warner 35 transmission.
You lost me on automatic transmission!
The trans is a borg Warner 35, ( original equipment). The wheels are knockoff.
