1957 FORD THUNDERBIRD

OVERVIEW

This 1957 Ford Thunderbird is powered by a 312ci Y-Block V8 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering and brakes, an aftermarket radio, and wheel skirts. EXTERIOR – FEATURES

Originally finished in Colonial White (code E), the body and hardtop have been repainted yellow. Features include chrome bumpers, a chrome grille, a hood scoop, a fender-mounted antenna, a removable color-keyed hardtop with port holes, a driver-side mirror, color-matched wheel skirts, and rear bumper-exit exhaust outlets. EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of reportedly original steel wheels with full Thunderbird hubcaps is wrapped in whitewall radial tires with 2016 date codes.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The bench seat and door panels are upholstered in black and pleated white vinyl. Features include power steering, power brakes, manual windows, an AM radio, an aftermarket AM/FM/CD stereo, and a floor-mounted automatic transmission shifter.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 140-mph speedometer, a 5K-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 69,774 miles, which the selling dealer reports to be accurate. According to them, the dash gauge light does not function.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is supplied by the reportedly original 312ci Y-block V8 and backed by the reportedly original three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include black finned aluminum valve covers, an orange engine block and intake, a four-barrel Holley carburetor, an electronic ignition, a chrome air cleaner, and a cast iron exhaust manifold. An oil change was completed approximately one year ago.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Thunderbird was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid nine-inch rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power four-wheel drums.

The selling dealer will include receipts since 1958, an owner's manual, the original steering wheel, and the original spare tire and jack as part of the sale.
