This 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle is finished in blue over a black vinyl interior and is powered by a 383ci V8 small block GM performance crate engine, backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. Modifications include an Edlebrock carburetor, Hotchkis lowering springs, power steering, power brakes, and aftermarket wheels. Located in Indio, California, the Chevelle is now offered with some service records and a clear Arizona title in the seller’s name.
Finished in royal blue, the Chevelle was professionally repainted during prior ownership, but the current owner replaced much of the trim and moldings. SS badging is found on the rear quarter panels and decklid, and Chevrolet crossed flag emblems are located on the fenders. The front end features quad headlights with turn indicators integrated into the bumper.
17” polished Intro wheels are wrapped in a staggered setup on radial tires measuring 215/50 on the front and 235/45 on the rear. The front tires are Ohtsu FP0612 and were installed approximately 3 years ago, while the rear is Yokohama's and was installed 6 years ago. Power disc brakes handle braking on the front with drums on the rear. Suspension modifications include Hotchkis lowering springs, Ride Tech 1” lowering spindles, KYB shocks, and tubular A-arms. A close-ratio steering box was also fitted by prior ownership.
The Chevelle is equipped with bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl with matching door panels and dash. Black carpets cover the floors while a center console is mounted between the seats and houses the shifter for the automatic transmission. A ribbed metal trim plate runs the full length of the console. The stereo has been upgraded with a vintage-look modern head unit with AM/FM and Bluetooth capability. Additional speakers have been added with an amplifier hidden in the fully upholstered trunk.
Behind the aftermarket steering wheel sits gauges, including a 120-mph speedometer, as well as an 8k-rpm tachometer and readouts for fuel, engine temperature, and voltage. 16K miles are shown on the analog odometer, though true mileage is unknown.
Under the hood sits the ZZ383 V8 small block from GM performance, producing 425 horsepower. A 650CFM Edlebrock carburetor is also equipped and aluminum heads, roller cam and roller rocker arms. A polished aluminum radiator with shroud and dual 12” fans with adjustable fan controller cools the engine. Additional upgrades include an aluminum intake manifold, high torque starter, and MSD ignition. The exhaust system was recently replaced and consists of tubular headers, 2.5" pipes with electric cutouts, and Flowmaster mufflers.

Included in the sale are all records from the current owner's tenure and an indoor California Car Cover.

All gauges work. The 700r4 is a great transmission and with the added lock out converter, the car cruises at 2000 rpm at 70 MPH
I also would like to know if the 3 gauges on the bottom of the dashboard work. The gauges don't appear to be hooked up. Is the steering column adjustable??
You have a beautiful Malibu SS. Just curious, do all of the gauges work? How do you like the 700R4?
