OVERVIEW
This 1928 Ford Model A Sport Coupe has been with the seller’s family for 40 years. Power is provided by a rebuilt 201ci inline four-cylinder flathead engine backed by a three-speed manual transmission. Features include a rumble seat, a chrome radiator shell, and a Messko radiator cap. Finished in green and black and equipped with a newer tan cloth top over a newer black vinyl interior, this Model A is available now and comes with receipts and a clear California title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The 50A-series Sport Coupe body is finished in green and equipped with black fenders. Features include chrome bumpers, chrome headlight buckets and radiator shell, a Messko radiator cap, a four-piece folding hood, a tilt-out windshield, a rumble seat, and a rear-mounted spare tire. The seller states that the non-folding tan cloth top was installed five years ago.
EXTERIOR WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of black 21-inch wire wheels is wrapped in newer 440/450-21 Firestone bias-ply whitewall tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bench seat is upholstered in newer black vinyl. Features include tan cloth door panels and trim, a green steel dashboard, manual steering and windows, mechanical brakes, and a floor-mounted shifter.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 75-mph speedometer and an ammeter are located in a chrome panel in the center of the dashboard. With 5,000 miles logged during current ownership, the odometer reads 89,458 miles, which the seller reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 201ci inline four-cylinder flathead engine and backed by a three-speed manual transmission. According to the seller, both are original to the vehicle. They also state that the engine was rebuilt five years ago and that the oil was changed and a new battery was installed two years ago. When the vehicle sells, the seller will check the oil and install a new battery.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Model A was factory-equipped with a solid front I-beam axle and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by four-wheel mechanical drums. A single exhaust system exits at the rear.
