This 1996 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas is finished in Ice Blue Pearl over an ivory leather interior and is powered by a 4.0-liter inline-6 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle was manufactured in Coventry, England, in April 1996 purchased new by the seller’s father in Michigan. It was relocated to Florida in 2015 when the seller acquired it, where it has resided since. Equipment includes a power sunroof, woodgrain interior, and dual exhaust. Located in Mt. Dora, Florida, this XJ6 is now offered with a clean CARFAX report on a clear Florida title in the seller’s name.
The car is painted Ice Blue Pearl Metallic (Code 821) and is accented with a chrome grille, mirror caps, window trim, and door handle. Fog lamps are mounted on the lower front air dam, while side marker lights are mounted on each front fender. Dual chrome exhaust outlets are located under the rear bumper.
Factory 16” multi-spoke alloy wheels are mounted to Toyo tires that were replaced about two years ago. The car is equipped with anti-lock brakes.
The interior is fitted with heated and power-adjustable leather seats upholstered in Oatmeal leather with a matching center console and armrest. Burlwood trim is found on the dash, door panel, and center console trim, as well as drop-down rear-seat tables. A power-operated sliding sunroof is equipped as well as power windows, cruise control, and a programable Homelink garage door opener. The radio currently does not work, but other electrical accessories function as designed.
Instrumentation is framed by a four-spoke steering wheel with wood accents and includes a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer, along with accompanying gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, and voltage. The digital odometer reads 24k miles, which are original to the vehicle.
The 4.0-liter AJ16 inline-6 is original to the vehicle and was factory-rated at 238 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque. Recent maintenance includes an oil change and replacement of the spark plugs. The CARFAX report shows that the air conditioning refrigerant was recharged, and the oil and filter were changed in May 2020. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 4-speed ZF automatic transmission.

Perhaps it is the light and the car has a clean Carfax but has either the passenger front door or the right front fender been repainted? Any early signs of rust anywhere as it is a Midwest auto? No repainting or repairs to doors or anywhere else on car. Stored in garage it’s entire life. No deferred maintenance—serviced last spring and air conditioner compressor replaced. Radio has operated only intermittently since we got the car (inherited from my wife’s father)—we use the car only occasionally and have never bothered to have the radio looked at or gotten an estimate for replacement.
