OVERVIEW
This 1949 MG TC is a body-off restoration powered by a 1.3-liter inline four-cylinder engine backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Features include right-hand drive, new upholstery, a newer convertible top and side curtains, and newly rebuilt carburetors. Finished in black over a red vinyl interior, this MG is available now and comes with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration, the exterior was finished in black. Features include a front fog light, a chrome radiator shell with a red insert, chrome headlight buckets, dual driver-side mirrors, a folding chrome windshield frame, a four-piece folding hood, rear-opening doors, a black folding convertible top, and a rear spare tire bracket. The seller states that the brightwork is in excellent condition and the convertible top and side curtains were replaced two years ago.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 19-inch wire wheels with knock-off center caps is wrapped in bias-ply tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The split bench seat is covered in new red vinyl. Features include manual steering and brakes, a floor-mounted shifter, electric windshield wipers, a cowl-mounted rearview mirror, and a three-spoke steering wheel.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 100-mph speedometer, a 6,500-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the oil pressure and amps are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reportedly reads 23,000 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 1.3-liter inline four-cylinder engine and backed by a four-speed manual transmission. The seller states that all fluids were changed and the carburetors were rebuilt recently.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This MG was factory-equipped with a solid front axle and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by four-wheel manual drums. A single exhaust system exits at the rear.
Thank you for the continued bids. With 10 minutes to go, I’ve decided to remove the reserve. Highest bidder wins it. Best of luck to all of those interested in purchasing.

Hello- I’d rate it a number 2 car. Excellent condition. I would drive it over 100 miles . No leaks- carbs just redone, and all fluids changed .
For insurance I need to give it a "condition" status of from "fair" to "showroom".. How do you rate it??
In your opinion... Is the car reliable for road trips of over 100 miles??
Good morning fellow classic car enthusiasts. As the auction is soon coming to a close, please let me know if you have additional questions/comments. This is truly a stunning tc that would fit well in any collection, or as a weekend driver. Paint, body fitment, interior is exceptional. Hopefully it will go to a good home for someone else to enjoy as I have. Happy Bidding.

Good afternoon. Videos have been uploaded.
Good evening fellow MG enthusiasts. I appreciate the bids so far on this stunning example. Frank1919- absolutely no rust on the car. The last owner restored the car. He owned it for over 30 years as a driver, and restored it approximately 10 years ago to the state in which you see it now. I’ve changed all the fluids, rebuilt the carbs, and replaced the upper radiator hose in the last month. It runs and drives exceptionally well. Top and side curtains are in excellent shape. Hopefully it will go to a good home.
Nice car Do we know any history about the car Is it the original engine When was the restoration done Any rust issues Thanks
