OVERVIEW 

This restored 1968 Ford Mustang coupe is powered by a rebuilt 289cid V8 backed by a rebuilt C4 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering, new power four-wheel disc brakes, a tilt steering column, GT-style fog lights, Sprint Package B, new BFGoodrich tires, and a digital AM/FM/cassette stereo. Finished in Ford Candy Apple Red and equipped with a black vinyl top over an ivory vinyl interior, this garage-kept Mustang comes with a Marti Report, the original tags, documentation of work completed, an owner's manual, and a clear title in the seller's name.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

This Mustang is one of 15,106 V8-powered 1968 models produced with Sprint Package B, which added grille-mounted foglights, C-shaped side stripes, wheel lip moldings, a pop-open gas cap, and Styled Steel wheels. Originally finished in Lime Gold, the body of this reportedly rust-free Mustang was restored in 2003 and refinished in Ford Candy Apple Red in 2010. In addition to the contents of Sprint Package B, features include chrome bumpers, hood-mounted turn signals, a fender-mounted antenna, rocker and wheel well moldings, and a black vinyl top.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of new chrome 15-inch Scott Drake reproduction Magnum 500 wheels is wrapped in 215/60/15 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires that were installed three months ago.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The front seats, rear bench seat, and door panels are upholstered in ivory vinyl and accompanied by a white dashboard with a white center pad and a black top pad. Features include power steering, manual windows, an aftermarket center console housing a storage compartment and cup holders, a digital AM/FM/cassette stereo, an aftermarket tilt steering column, a three-spoke steering wheel with a wood rim, simulated woodgrain accents, and a floor-mounted automatic transmission shifter.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 120-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and alternator are located in a simulated woodgrain panel ahead of the driver. With 1,000 miles added during current ownership, the odometer reads 28,077 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 289cid V8 and backed by a C4 three-speed automatic transmission, both of which were rebuilt in 2003. The seller states that the radiator was replaced in June 2023. Additional new parts include the engine-color oil pan, battery, electronic ignition, master cylinder, and power booster.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Mustang was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by new four-wheel power discs with new calipers and new spindles. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
