OVERVIEW
This 1960 Lotus Model 18 Formula Junior is an open-wheel racecar that has competed on tracks across North America. It was restored in 2000 under the direction of a vintage racecar specialty facility and features a wraparound windshield, wobbly-web wheels, a tubular roll bar, and RaceQuip safety harnesses. Power is provided by a rebuilt Cosworth Ford 105E 1100cc four-cylinder mated to a rebuilt Hewland six-speed manual transaxle. Finished in two-tone green and yellow and equipped with a red vinyl bucket seat, this Model 18 is now offered by the selling dealer with documentation, receipts, a dyno sheet, spare parts, the removed original Renault gearbox, and a bill of sale.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The fiberglass body was refinished in green with yellow accent striping during a 2000 restoration carried out by GMT Racing in Connecticut. Exterior features include a wraparound windshield, side mirrors, 773 side decals, and a padded tubular roll bar.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Yellow 15-inch wobbly-web steel wheels are wrapped in Dunlop 4.5L/5.00L tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The open cockpit is fitted with a single red vinyl bucket seat with black RaceQuip restraints. The cockpit has a headrest, a vinyl dash panel, and a wrapped steering wheel.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 9K-rpm tachometer along with gauges for the oil pressure and oil temperature. The mileage on the chassis is unknown. The selling dealer reports this car has only accrued six racing hours since the restoration was completed.

@Azguy238 – Does this car have a race history or SCCA logbook? ...
Thanks so much for your question! I have spoken with the current owner and he should send me a list of races the Lotus has competed in. I expect to receive that tomorrow. There is an SCCA logbook, but he cannot locate it. Very sorry for that. This 1960 Lotus Model 18 has competed in the VCA, VRG & SVRA races. Once I receive additional information, I will post it.
