OVERVIEW
This 1960 Morris Minor is powered by a 350ci Chevrolet V8 engine backed by a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. Features include a tilt steering column, custom interior with bucket seats, a narrowed nine-inch Ford rear axle, an HEI ignition, a digital AM/FM stereo and custom Centerline wheels. Finished in Arctic White with tan leather interior, this rust-free 1960 Morris Minor is available now and comes from the selling dealer with a clear North Carolina title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior was refinished in Arctic White in 2017. Features include chrome bumpers, dual rearview mirrors, a split windshield, a fiberglass rear cargo area and dual rear cargo doors. A walk around video can be seen below.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of five-spoke 15-inch polished aluminum Centerline wheels, in staggered widths, is wrapped in radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bucket seats are upholstered in tan leather. Features include tan carpeting and side panels, manual steering and brakes, a tilt steering column, manual windows, a three-spoke steering wheel with a black rim, a floor-mounted shifter, and a digital AM/FM stereo. The selling dealer states that the wipers do not work and the wiper motor is not present.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A set of VDO gauges includes a 160-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, water temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are mounted in the center of the dashboard. The odometer reads 4,388 miles but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 350ci Chevrolet V8 engine backed by a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. Underhood features include chrome valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, a four-barrel Edelbrock carburetor, a chrome alternator, an HEI ignition, and a 12-volt wiring system.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The body of this Morris Minor has been modified to accept a late-model GM independent front suspension stub and a solid nine-inch Ford rear drive axle mounted with leaf springs. Braking is provided by manual front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the center of the chassis. Additional photos of the undercarriage can be seen in the carousel to the right.
