OVERVIEW
This restored 1965 Ford Mustang 2+2 fastback is a rust-free exampler that is powered by a C-code 289ci V8 mated to a console-shifted C4 three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes factory air conditioning, woodgrain interior trim, tinted glass and dual exhaust system. Finished in Poppy Red over a black vinyl interior, this first-generation Mustang is now offered by the selling dealer located in California with a clear Missouri title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This Mustang 2+2 is reportedly rust-free and was resprayed in the original Poppy Red (code 3) during restoration. Exterior features include a driver-side mirror, rocker moldings and sail panel louvers.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Chrome styled 15-inch steel wheels are wrapped in Viva tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The Pony interior is trimmed with black (code 66) vinyl bucket seats up front with matching treatment for the dash, door panels, center console and carpeting. Amenities include woodgrain veneer trim, factory air conditioning and tinted glass. The trunk is lined with a plaid mat and contains a spare tire.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, tachometer and Rally Pac gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 39,588 miles.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The C-code 289ci V8 feeds torque to the rear wheels via a console-shifted C4 three-speed automatic transmission.
