Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This custom 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4x4 rides on a King four-inch lifted suspension and 35-inch Toyo tires. It is powered by a small-block 350ci V8 with ceramic-coated headers and a Holley carburetor, transferring power to all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes a removable hardtop, an overhauled interior, a sound system, and a Flowmaster dual exhaust system. Finished in Medium Blue over a black vinyl interior, this first-generation Blazer is now offered with a clear California title in the seller’s name.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

This Blazer’s exterior underwent a cosmetic overhaul that included a fresh coating of Medium Blue over the body, a white finish for the removable hardtop, replacement of the grille, and the installation of new inner fender wells. Exterior features include an eggcrate grille, 350 fender badging, chrome bumpers, dual sideview mirrors, bodyside moldings, and a new Flowmaster exhaust system. The seller notes a one-inch crack in the paint near the fuel filler door.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

Innov8 cast-aluminum 17-inch wheels are wrapped in 35-inch Toyo Open Country R/T tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The refurbished cabin is fitted with black vinyl bucket seats up front and a bench in the rear, matched to the door panels, dash pad, center console, and carpeting. Amenities include lap belts, CST badging, and an upgraded Budnik polished steering wheel. A high-end sound system has been added which features Focal components, a Rockford Fosgate five-channel amplifier, a Pioneer head unit, and a 12-inch subwoofer in an enclosure behind the back seat.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer, an inoperative tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 5,273 miles, although the seller states that true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The small-block 350ci V8 is upgraded with a Holley carburetor and ceramic-coated headers. It received an oil change and a tune-up within the last 2,000 miles and directs power to all four wheels via a column-shifted three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case.

UNDERCARRIAGE

The suspension has been lifted four inches and features King off-road racing shock absorbers along with custom shock hoops. Stopping power comes from disc brakes, and the brake system was serviced recently including replacement of the booster. Steering is power-assisted.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The seller has provided walkaround videos with the hardtop installed as well as with it removed.
