Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1977 Porsche 911S is powered by a 2,686cc flat-six engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Features include a slant-nose and convertible conversion, new 16-inch BBS wheels, new Falken tires, a new convertible top, new paint, a refurbished fuel system, and a rebuilt vacuum system. Finished in black and equipped with a black soft top over a black vinyl interior, this 911 comes from the selling dealer with a clear New York title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

In 2022, the exterior was refinished in black. Features include a slant-nose conversion with pop-up headlights, color-keyed mirror caps, a convertible conversion, a new black cloth convertible top with a plastic rear window, a whale tail spoiler, and vented rear quarters. The selling dealer notes that the headlight washers are not working.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of new 16-inch BBS wheels with black centers is wrapped in new 245/50/R16 Falken tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The front bucket seats and folding rear seats are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include manual steering and brakes, manual windows, a center console-mounted shifter, and a digital AM/FM/CD stereo with a CD changer and an amplifier. The selling dealer states that the interior shows some wear due to age and use and the cap for the shift knob is missing. They add that not all of the HVAC controls function correctly and other features, including the stereo, may not work properly.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 160-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, engine temperature, and voltage are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 64,452 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown. The selling dealer reports some gauges are not guaranteed to be accurate.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 2,686cc flat-six engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The engine draws fuel from a refurbished fuel system and a new gas tank. The vacuum system has been rebuilt.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Porsche is equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear-drive transaxle. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel discs. The exhaust system exits at the rear through a single outlet. The selling dealer states that some surface rust is present on the undercarriage.
