1964 1/2 FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE 4-SPEED

OVERVIEW

This restored 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang is powered by an F-code 260ci V8 engine backed by an upgraded four-speed manual transmission. Features include dual mirrors, simulated wire wheel hub caps, Rally-Pac gauges, and a luggage rack. Finished in Rangoon Red and equipped with a power-folding white convertible top over a black vinyl interior, this first-year Mustang is available now and comes from the selling dealer with a car cover and a clear North Carolina title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

During the restoration, the exterior was finished in the original color of Rangoon Red (code J). Features include chrome bumpers, a fender-mounted antenna, rocker moldings, dual mirrors, a power white vinyl folding convertible top, and a luggage rack. The selling dealer states that minor imperfections and light scratches are present from use and age. A video of the convertible top in operation can be seen below.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of black 14-inch wheels with simulated wire wheel hub caps is wrapped in whitewall tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

Originally covered in white crinkle vinyl (code 45), the front bucket seats and the rear seat are currently upholstered in black vinyl. Features include manual steering and brakes, manual windows, a center console with a manual shifter, an AM radio, and a black convertible top boot. The selling dealer states that the horn and windshield wipers are not functional.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level and temperature are located ahead of the driver. The Rally-Pac gauges include a 6K-rpm tachometer and a clock. The odometer reads 841 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by an F-code 260ci V8 engine and backed by a four-speed manual transmission; the data tag shows the original transmission was a three-speed manual (code 1). Engine bay features include chrome valve covers, a chrome air cleaner, and a Monte Carlo bar.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Mustang was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel drums. A single exhaust system exits at the rear.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The selling dealer charges a $250 documentation fee in addition to the sale price of the car. A car cover will be included with the vehicle. Decoding the trim tag reveals the following information:
