OVERVIEW
This restored 1966 Ford Mustang coupe is powered by an A-code 289ci four-barrel V8 engine backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Features include air conditioning, power steering, bucket seats, and whitewall tires. Finished in Vintage Burgundy over a red vinyl interior, this first-generation Mustang comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration, the exterior was refinished in the original color of Vintage Burgundy (code X). Features include chrome bumpers, wheel opening and rocker moldings, a fender-mounted antenna, a driver-side mirror, and GT-style rear exhaust outlets.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 14-inch chrome wheels is wrapped in 205/75 Hankook Optimo whitewall tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bucket seats and the rear seat are upholstered in red vinyl (code 25). Features include power steering, manual brakes and windows, air conditioning, an AM radio, maroon carpeting with matching floor mats, and a floor-mounted shifter.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 140-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 61,685 miles, which the selling dealer reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by an A-code 289ci V8 engine equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and an aluminum radiator, and backed by a four-speed manual transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Mustang was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel drums.
