OVERVIEW
This 1940 Ford Woody Wagon is reportedly the result of a body-off street rod build and has been with the seller since 2015. It is powered by a 350ci Chevrolet V8 backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Features include a complete aftermarket powder-coated TCI frame with an independent Mustang II front suspension, a wood body, fog lights, power front disc brakes, rack-and-pinion steering, Vintage Air climate controls, cruise control, and a tilt steering column. Finished in red, this Ford Woody Wagon is available now and comes with receipts, the two 10-foot surfboards detailed below, and a clear California title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the street rod conversion in 2002, the exterior was finished in red. Features include chrome bumpers with a front grille guard, a body-color grille, chrome headlight rings, amber fog lights, stainless hood and cowl trim, dual rearview mirrors, and a split windshield. Additional features include a black canvas roof, a roof rack and surfboards, a windshield-mounted antenna, a wood body, a red rear spare tire cover, and dual taillights.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of red 15-inch steel wheels is wrapped in 195/65/15 front and 225/75/15 rear Toyo tires. The seller states that the tires are approximately one year old.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
Features include a red steel dashboard, a Vintage Air climate control system, cruise control, a tilt steering column with an automatic transmission shifter, and a three-spoke banjo steering wheel with a tan grip.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer, a steering column-mounted 7K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. With 33,000 miles on the build and 14,000 miles added during current ownership, the odometer reads 34,000 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 350ci Chevrolet V8 and backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include finned aluminum valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a polished aluminum batwing air cleaner with a finned lid, and an aluminum radiator.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The body of this Woody has been modified to accept an aftermarket black powder-coated TCI frame, a tubular Mustang II front suspension, manual rack-and-pinion steering, and a Ford nine-inch solid rear axle. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system with tubular fender well headers exits at the rear.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The seller will include receipts and two 10-foot surfboards as part of the sale. The red surfboard is a John Taylor custom model from the Little House Of Repair in Huntington Beach, California; the white one is a Becker Legacy Series 6.0 model from Mangiagli Surfboards of Hermosa Beach, California.

Hello, YES, the car is a running completed fully working vehicle. Just had it at a car gathering in San Mateo today. Its a driver. The air works fine and COLD, the heater works fine and HOT, the motor is great, only 34,000 miles. Tires have recently been all replaced as they were dated 2004. I drive the car to Santa Barbara, Visalia, Santa Cruz just to name a few places. You can cruise any speed with one hand on the wheel. Please let me know if you have other questions.
Is this vehicle in tip-top shape and ready to roll?
