OVERVIEW
This 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 SportsRoof is powered by a 351ci Cleveland V8 mated to a C6 three-speed automatic transmission. Within the last several years, it has received work to the fuel system, electrical system, brakes, carburetor and suspension. Equipment includes chrome American Racing wheels, dual exhaust system, air conditioning and front disc brakes. Finished in Dark Ivy Green metallic with a medium green vinyl interior, this Mustang is now offered by the selling dealer with service records and a clear California title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This Mustang Mach 1’s Dark Ivy Green metallic paint is complemented by silver accents on the sides, hood and rear spoiler. Exterior features include a newer windshield, dual NACA-type air induction intakes, color-keyed side-view mirrors and dual exhaust system.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Chrome five-spoke 15-inch American Racing wheels are wrapped in General Altimax tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The special two-tone green interior is fitted with Mach I high-back bucket seats up front with complementary dashboard, center console, carpeting and newer headliner. Other ffeatures include woodgrain accents, power windows, push-button radio, air conditioning and lap belts.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, analog clock, fuel gauge` and warning indicators. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 99,335 miles.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 351ci 4V Cleveland V8 was rated at 285 horsepower and 370 lb-ft of torque when new. Service records will accompany the sale, including receipts from within the last three years for electrical components, 600cfm carburetor, heater core, air conditioning filter dryer, speedometer cable, battery, fuel tank, spark plugs, heater core and more. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a C6 console-shifted three-speed automatic transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Mach 1 Mustangs came equipped with the Competition Suspension. Service records show the sway bar links were replaced in 2022. Stopping power comes from disc brakes up front and drums in the rear, and the brakes were changed at all four corners within the past four years.

The lenses on some of the gauge faces are faded. We tried to show them as best as possible. You may be able to clean them up further or if you pulled the dash, they may clean up better from behind.
