OVERVIEW
This 1929 Ford Model A is a frame-up restoration that has been with the seller for 27 years. It is powered by the reportedly original 201ci flathead inline four-cylinder engine, which is backed by a three-speed manual transmission. Features include a custom woody body and a mini surfboard rear bumper. Finished in Surf Yellow and equipped with a black vinyl roof over a tan vinyl interior, this reportedly award-winning Model A comes with a longboard surfboard and a clear Wisconsin title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration, the body, new fenders, and custom cowl were finished in Surf Yellow and a clear coat. Features include a custom natural wood body, a chrome front bumper, chrome headlight buckets on a chrome dropped headlight bar, a chrome radiator shell, a four-piece hinged hood, a cowl-mounted fuel tank, and a tilt-out front windshield. Additional features include red accent pinstriping, a black vinyl roof with a wooden surfboard mount and surfboard, a rear tailgate, dual taillights, and a custom mini surfboard rear bumper.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of yellow steel wheels with chrome trim rings and dog dish hub caps is wrapped in Uniroyal Tiger Paw radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bench seat is upholstered in tan vinyl. Features include natural wood interior surfaces, tan carpeting, a yellow dashboard with decals and accent pinstriping, a floor-mounted shifter, manual front door windows, and manual steering. The two-door wood body does not have window glass installed on the sides or rear.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A speedometer and gauges for the fuel level and amps are located in the center of the dashboard. With 500 miles added during current ownership, the odometer reads nine miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by the reportedly original 201ci flathead inline four-cylinder engine and backed by a three-speed manual transmission. The most recent service included the replacement of the points and a carburetor adjustment. The seller suggests making adjustments to the engine.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Model A is equipped with a solid front axle and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by four-wheel mechanical drums. A single exhaust system exits at the rear.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
This Model A was featured on the cover of Street Rodder magazine and has reportedly won several car show awards. A longboard surfboard will be included with the purchase of the vehicle.
