OVERVIEW
This restored 1955 Oldsmobile 98 is powered by the rebuilt, reportedly original 324ci V8 engine backed by a rebuilt four-speed automatic transmission. Power features include the front seat, steering, windows, and convertible top. Additional features include an accessory gas door guard, full hub caps, and whitewall tires. Finished in Polar White and Coral and equipped with a white soft top over an Almond and Coral vinyl interior, this Oldsmobile comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration, the exterior was refinished in Polar White and Coral (paint codes 62 and 60, respectively). Features include chrome bumpers and grille, a driver-side mirror, a power white vinyl convertible top, 98 trim, and rocker moldings. The selling dealer states that all of the chrome and stainless trim pieces have been redone.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 15-inch Coral wheels with spinner hub caps is wrapped in Coker Classic whitewall tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bench seat, rear seat, trim, and door panels are upholstered in Coral and Almond vinyl. Features include power steering and brakes, power windows, an AM radio, a column-mounted shifter, and a Coral vinyl padded dashboard top.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, temperature, amps, and oil pressure are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 2,484 miles, which the selling dealer reports to be the mileage accrued since the restoration was finished. The actual mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by the rebuilt, reportedly original 324ci Rocket V8 engine and backed by a rebuilt four-speed automatic transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Oldsmobile was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by four-wheel drums. A single exhaust system exits at the rear.
